Such Sorrowful Souls

Such sorrowful souls seek
Shelter from sadness's storm
From a midst the oceans of torment and hate
And island to feel the warmth
They do long for such relief
An escape from all of their pains
And so, for that one hopeful belief,
They keep going one more day

That after all is said and done
The pain won't still be there
Worry fills their days and nights
Depression and concern
Still, they hope with heavy hearts
For their prayers to be heard

To feel, for once, a bliss that soars
And is not smashed to the ground
For a moment without agony
For a day without despair
Such sorrowful souls seek
So that happiness might be theirs
